Product Description
The Model 203 uses a fully
differential, simultaneous, drive/receive technique on a single pair.
The superior properties of differential data transmission have long been
known and are used in Telebyte four wire products. Now these same
advantages are available on two wire links. The Model 203
RS-232 2 Wire Groundless
Line Driver for 1 Twisted Pair
provides flawless operation up to 19.2 KBPS over distances of 2 miles.
The 203 incorporates low power and advanced power generating circuitry
to allow maximum performance while deriving its operating power from the
transmitted data line. Additional features of the Model 203 includes a
DTE/DCE switch to allow the 203 to be easily used on computers,
terminals, and multiplexers.
The user interface is a DB25 standard RS-232 connector available in male
or female gender. The line side interface supplied on the 203 is a two
position terminal block and RJ-11 modular jack.
